What Is RIASEC?

RIASEC is one of the most popular and widely used surveys to help people discover the careers that are most likely to satisfy them. Through Beable, your kids will learn their three-letter RIASEC code. You’ll learn if your child is a Realistic hands-on doer, an Investigative thinker, an Artistic creator, a Social helper, an Enterprising persuader, or a Conventional organizer. Once your child has their three-letter code, they can explore careers that connect to their RIASEC codes. Beable focuses on RIASEC interests, because interests are the greatest predictor of job satisfaction and success.

S-I-V-J Prompts

Self-awareness is an ongoing journey for everyone. It’s helpful for children to be engaged in this journey of self-awareness as part of their academic and personal growth. Your child’s first step is completing their RIASEC inventory, which provides them with a 3-letter code that represents their career-related interests.
 
Beyond the RIASEC, there are other ways to engage in ongoing self-reflection. Beable creates regular opportunities for your child to discuss and reflect on their strengths, interests, values, and potential job paths.
 
To support these discussions, Beable provides bi-weekly S-I-V-J (Strengths, Interests, Values, and Job Readiness) prompts, which are used in school to provide regular opportunities for your child to engage in meaningful conversations with peers, educators. And now, with the Family Hub, we’ll extend those conversations to your home as well.
